Ārpus stundu nodarbības “Pasaules Kultūras” ir uzsākušas darbu pilnā sparā.     
Sākot ar šo mācību gadu Jaunmārupes pamatskola piedāvā iespēju skolēniem no 4. līdz 8.klasei radoši nostiprināt savas zināšanas angļu valodā, tajā pašā laikā, veicinot skolēnu interesi par dažādām kultūrām un to aspektiem. Lai veiksmīgi varētu uzsākt darbu un varētu izprast citas kultūras, pirmkārt, katram ir jāizprot pašam sava kultūra un kas saistās ar šo daudz slāņaino un komplicēto vārdu. Vienā no pirmajām nodarbībām skolēni savas idejas izpauda kolāžās.

Tā kā māksla ir daļa no jebkuras pasaules kultūras un kolāža ir viens no modernās mākslas veidiem, tā tika izvēlēta kā medijs skolēnu kultūras uztveres izpausmei. Ar vecu žurnālu un avīžu, līmes un šķēru palīdzību, tapa krāsainas un radošas kolāžas, kas raksturoja katra skolēna un visas skolēnu grupas kopējo skatu uz to, kas ir kultūra. Iznākums parāda, cik dažādi skolēni uztver pasauli sev apkārt un kas viņiem ir kultūra.
Nākamajā nodarbībā skolēni savu redzējumu – kādēļ tika izvēlēti konkrēti šie attēli – prezentēs runas veidā (angliski) un veidos diskusijas par to, kas ir katra personīgā kultūra, kas ir ģimenes kultūra, valsts kultūra un masu kultūra.

Extracurricular lessons “Cultures Around the World” have started with full strength
Starting with this study year, Jaunmārupe’s Primary School offer students from grades 4 till 8 to expand their knowledge in English and arise interest in different cultures and their aspects. To successfully begin the exploration of the various cultures around the world, first of all, the student’s had to understand what culture is to them, as the word itself hides a lot of meanings. To express their ideas the students used collages.
As art is a part of any culture around the world and collage is one of the forms of modern art, exactly this media was chosen to express the ideas of the student’s. Using old magazines and newspapers, glue and scissors, colorful and creative collages were made, reflecting each student’s individual view on culture as well as how the whole group views culture. The outcome shows how different are student’s views on the world around them and what culture is for them.
In the upcoming class the students will present their views – why exactly these pictures were chosen – in the class (in English) and will create a discussion about individual culture, family culture, national culture and mass culture.
